🙋🏻♂️ FILLED - Fall M.A.L.T. Leaders
We are asking for parent/community volunteers who would be able to come and run an activity for our Fall session of M.A.L.T. (Multi Age Learning Teams).
Session possibilities could be crafts, art, hiking, carpentry, playground games, dance, science, drama, technology, geocaching, sports, cooking, board/card games, music, creative writing, clay work (we have a kiln!), origami, yoga, etc.
The activities run for 3 full afternoon sessions (one per week). Nov 3, 17 & 24.
You will have the same group each week so you could build on what you are doing! We anticipate the groups to be about 10-15 students but we can adjust the numbers if necessary.
If you are willing to run a group, but need ideas, we can help you out!
A current Criminal Record Check is required.

🙋🏻♂️ Volunteers Needed - Montessori Kindergarten Committee
Our program currently begins at Grade 1. We would LOVE to introduce our students to the Montessori Program at the Kindergarten level and require approval from the School Board to move forward.
We are asking for volunteers for our Kindergarten Committee who can:
Research the benefits of adding a Kindergarten Program.
Attend School Board Meetings.
Prepare and present information to the School Board.
Liaise between the Vernon Montessori Society, Silver Star Elementary and the School Board.
